fairy doorsBut they do burrow into them! If you go down to the woods today, specifically Wayford Woods in the village of Wayford in Somerset, more than 100 tiny fairy doors have mysteriously appeared, screwed into the base of beech, ash and oak trees. Volunteers who claim not to be ‘anti-fairy’ are keeping watch, the purpose of which is to hand any fairies summonses for damage to council property. As yet it is unclear if the annoying intruders are British fairies, or Eastern European immigrant fairies that might require taxpayer-funded interpreters!
