Professor Stephen Hawking…sufferer of motor neurone disease and the author of ‘A Brief History of Time’, has spoken out in favour of assisted suicide for people with terminal illnesses. He told the BBC: “We don’t let animals suffer, so why humans?” Don’t forget rights…government rights to decide how much pain and suffering we are entitled to!

Meanwhile, disability rights campaigners have won permission to bring a legal challenge against Alison Saunders, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) over her current policy in relation to the law on assisted suicide, which, under the Suicide Act 1961 makes it a criminal offence to assist or encourage suicide.

Quote honestly I would have thought any British Government burdened by huge debts would be positively grateful to anyone of any age and in any condition who actually kills themselves, thus relieving the Government of any financial responsibility to provide healthcare, winter fuel allowance, disability payments, etcetera, etcetera! While the British Government insists on giving away £13-billion in foreign aid each and every year, hundreds…possibly thousands…of non-terminally ill elderly citizens starve to death and freeze to death!
