Suffering from among other things, high blood pressure and poor circulation, my elderly mother Sonia forever complains of being cold, even in this mild weather. So much so, I guess I make Sonia six to seven hot water bottles a day! The way I generally attempt to increase mother’s blood circulation is to first sit her in an armchair, then I grab Sonia’s ankles and pump her legs up and down several times. This procedure does nothing to aid blood circulation, but it does make us both giggle, particularly when Bunnee our Cavalier comes over to investigate what’s going on! Remember folks, when facing adversity, never, never lose your sense of hummus!
