As part of a major reform of the way the public fund the BBC, Culture Secretary John Whittingdale has suggested the current TV licence (£145:50) could be linked to the value of a person’s house. Therefore the rich would be expected to contribute more than the poor. This is the kind of stupid idea that would be floated by a publicly funded think tank! It’s not our fault the BBC, an organisation that rakes in over £3.5 billion a year, can’t balance its books! Folks, the above recommendation will never be implemented!
