Thanks to negative PR put out by conspiracy theorists over half a century, almost as many people now believe Apollo 11 didn’t land on the Moon as did! Did the Nevada Desert provide the backdrop to the ‘historic’ Moon landing on July 20th 1969? Hopefully all will soon be revealed! Russian scientists, led by Vitaly Egorov are building a satellite capable of taking high-resolution images, which they plan to deploy into orbit around the Moon. If the Moon landing was indeed fiction, well the Americans had better get up there and plant a Stars & Stripes flag and put down a few footprints! Meanwhile, Buzz Aldrin’s Bulova Accutron wristwatch is set to fetch $1 million at auction. If it turns out Apollo 11 didn’t make it out of Nevada, then who ever pays the million dollars is bound to scream ‘foul’! Neil Armstrong’s famous quote: ‘One small step for a man, one giant step for mankind’, may well have to be reworked! ‘One small step for a man, one giant leap forward for the Hollywood green screen!’ The chances are, the Moon landing did take place. Regrettably Richard Nixon was President of America at the time. Proved to be a liar and a cheat, and the only President in American history to resign while in office, thereafter it became good sport to rubbish NASA’s achievements. Shame!
