The London Embankment new year’s eve fireworks extravaganza attracted over 100,000 revellers, who had all prepaid for their tickets over the internet, so there was no way the event could be cancelled in the face of a possible terrorist attack. Who was on hand to prevent an attack taking place, 3000 armed police officers, and no doubt a clutch of undercover officers! Meanwhile, over in the Duma, Russia’s Parliament, a new bill allowing security service agents to open fire on crowds without first offering any verbal warning, has just been passed. Say what you like about Mother England, but here our security forces will never shoot first and ask questions later, unlike security forces in Mother Russia! Have you bought your 2016 Vladimir Putin calendar yet?
