The Local Government Association (England) said, every food outlet should be forced to display its ‘hygiene rating’ received from inspectors, on the door, as is already required in Wales and Scotland. Oh dear me! So often we hear of restaurants and fast food outlets infested with rats and cockroaches, a ‘one’ or ‘two’ star hygiene rating prominently displayed on a premises entrance might deter potential customers from dining in or taking away. Many establishments are owned and operated by individuals who do not use toilet paper when ass is in situ. It’s a cultural thing! Having suffered dire food poisoning twice from eating out, I am now particularly careful whose food I shove down my throat! If a prominently displayed hygiene rating certificate is made law, surely it is only a matter of time before a similar rule is extended to cruise ships, where noroviruses are rife? I suspect most cruise ships will be confined to docks indefinitely!
